Personally I do this with spells both verbal and sub-vocal along with hand gestures when I feel they are necessary. I communicate with spirits and elementals and invoke them when necessary.
I have a natural affinity with Nature and animals…

Re: Your definition of a Witch
Sun, February 24, 2008 - 1:09 PMpersonally i feel i have to be careful withmy definitions of magic use and those who practice, such as sorcerors and ceremonial magicians, and witches and wiccans, etc etc so my definition may be a littlle different that other peoples.
I define a witch as a low magic user, connected to nature and the elementals ( as in having a personal relationship, like friendship), not exclusively releigious, but in contact with deities, respectful of spiritual things, generally female but with exceptions,on the path of wisdom, and open to what may be possible.
I differentiate between witches and wiccans as wicca being a religious practice and a witch as not necessarily practicing that religion but following their own path nevertheless.

Re: Your definition of a Witch
Wed, February 27, 2008 - 7:57 AMI definition actually will change depending on who is asking. I do a lot of work with local Wiccans who see Witchcraft as a spirituality and a religion. I also work with some folks in the Salem are who see Witchcraft as a spirituality and a *practice of magick* but not necessarily a religion.
